Calls may need to be held on the system and not deleted due to compliance regulation. Legal hold is a special property for labels that stops the call from getting deleted by retention. When Legal hold is enabled for a label, conversations with the label applied to cannot be deleted by data retention policy.

To view labels in legal hold, navigate to :  DataLabels > Labels in Legal Hold.


Enabling legal hold

To enable legal hold for your labels, perform the following steps:

Click on the label you want to update

Click the 'Enable Legal Hold' button


Releasing legal hold

To disable legal hold for your labels, perform the following steps:

Click on the label you want to update

Click on the 'Initiate Release from Legal Hold' button

Releasing a legal hold requires approval from a supervisor user (→ see: User Roles)
