Different Recording modes that can be used in Luware Recording

Luware Recording offers flexible recording capabilities to meet a variety of compliance, quality assurance, and operational needs. Whether you require full coverage of all communications or more selective recording options, Luware provides several configurable modes to suit your organization's requirements. This article outlines the available recording modes, explains how each one functions, and specifies which communication modalities are supported, helping you choose the most appropriate setup for your use case.

Full All conversations are automatically recorded and stored for the configured extension. All modalities All
On-demand

All conversations are automatically recorded, but they are first put into the on-demand buffer. If the recorded user (or his/her group supervisor) marks the conversation to be kept then the conversation is placed into the permanent store. Users can save the recording permanently using:

  • In the Web Application under On-Demand Buffer,
  • Via Power Automate for Nimbus
  • Via the Rest API

The default period for the On-Demand buffer is 48 hours, this is configurable between 1 day and 31 days.

Controlled

The users need to start recording manually, conversations are not recorded automatically. Users can trigger recording:

  • In the Web Application under Ongoing Conversations,
  • Via Power Automate for Nimbus
  • Via the Rest API
  • Via the Teams Controls app, which is built into the Microsoft Teams Application

The recording starts only when the user triggers recording, the conversation will not contain the entire conversation. The recording can be stopped using the same controls. Users can restart recording as well; in this case, a new recording is created in the system.

Controlled, Auto-start

All conversations are automatically recorded and the users have the ability to stop recording at any time.

Users can stop recording:

  • In the Web Application under Ongoing Conversations,
  • Via Power Automate for Nimbus
  • Via the Rest API
  • Via the Teams Controls app, which is built into the Microsoft Teams Application

The recording stops only when the user triggers the recording to stop, the conversation will only contain the part of the call before the recording was stopped. The recording can be started using the same controls. Users can restart recording as well; in this case, a new recording is created in the system.

Each user can be assigned only one recording mode at a time, which is defined during their initial synchronization with the system. Additionally, in Hybrid Recorder configurations, only the Full Recording mode is supported.
