AI-powered productivity and assistance layer within Nimbus that augments human capabilities with AI.

The Nimbus Companion is the AI-powered orchestration layer of Nimbus that coordinates intelligent AI-powered tools across the customer experience journey. It augments human capabilities with context-sensitive assistance including Transcription, Summarization, as well as automated suggestions for Codes and Tags

Built on Azure AI Foundry, the Nimbus Companion coordinates components much like a conductor leading an orchestra to ensure everything works in harmony and resources are used in the most efficient manner possible. The result is less manual work for users and cleaner and more consistent data for reporting.

Description
Companion Interface  Access to the “Knowledge Assistant” interface, which directly answers product-related questions, based on official Nimbus documentation.

Companion - Nimbus User Portal

AI driven settings and features, that help improve your service's overall performance, for example by assisting Nimbus Users with AI-driven context, Live Caption, or Transcription functions.

Description
Transcription Automatic historic Transcription of calls and Voicemail recordings.
Summarization AI-driven summarization of the interaction (e.g., recap, issue, resolution)
Codes Suggestion Automatic code suggestions based on configured context fields.
Tags Suggestion Automatic tag suggestions based on previous transcription context.
Live Caption(3) Automatic live captioning of ongoing customer/user interactions (requires Transcription)

(1) All Companion Admin Portal features can be accessed by users in Admin Roles.

(2) All Companion User Portal features require an Enterprise or Contact Center license on the Service, and a Companion license on the User. Usage requires Tenant Admin consent in Data Privacy Tenant Settings for the usage of Companion AI Features. Enabling the feature will invite a Nimbus bot to sessions in order to create a transcript of the interaction between customer, user and/or other 3rd-party participants, AI-driven bots and consultants. Configuration is done in Companion Service Settings and Extension Service Settings.

(3) Live Caption is currently part of the Companion license. It will be a separate license in the near future.

Use Cases

Speed up configuration efforts Knowledge Assistant

As part of the Nimbus Companion Interface, the Knowledge Assistant supports administrators in chat, giving focused answers drawn directly from official Nimbus documentation. Companion is capable of combining multiple concepts, giving you detailed instructions and source links whenever available, also answering in a different language on request. It is also capable of answering questions on Nimbus server status, including planned maintenance windows.

 
 

Eliminate Manual Note-Taking with Post-call Transcription

Reduce after call work and free users from manually keeping a clean record of conversations by automatically transcribing every conversation post-call. By enabling a speech recognizer powered by either Azure AI Services or Luware Nimbus AI Services in the Luware Nimbus Companion, you can automatically convert customer conversations into accurate text, seen directly on your My Sessions page on the Companion widget and which can be stored up to 30 days.  

Post-Call Transcripts can then be pushed directly to your CRM or preferred business platform via a Power Automate Connector, and used for downstream workflows such as automated summarization and detailed analysis. 

 
 

Faster Handoffs with Summarization

Save time and improve decision-making by generating a clear, concise Summarization after every customer call. Users can quickly see key information directly in the Companion widget for 30 days, with customizable fields such as Title, Issue Resolution, Recap, and Narrative so you can capture exactly what you need for your documentation, compliance and reporting requirements.  

 
 

Improve Documentation with AI Suggested Codes and Tags

Reduce after‑call work and improve reporting consistency with AI‑suggested codes and tags. The Codes and Tags Assistant in the Luware Nimbus Companion automatically proposes up to five relevant labels, based on previously used tags or newly suggested, context‑appropriate options. This guides users toward consistent selections and significantly improves data quality for uniform reporting across teams and services.
