User Preferences (Admin)

The User Preferences inside the Nimbus Admin Portal allow you to:

  • Log out of your current Nimbus user account
  • Access Nimbus resources (downloadable files) such as the Nimbus App manifests, Provisioning Scripts, Power BI template and Addons such as the Nimbus Assistant App.

💡User Preferences are structured into tabs, explained in the following.

General

General

User

Log out of Nimbus, in case you want to sign in with a different user.

💡 Note that the Logout is not visible in the Nimbus Personal App as it automatically re-uses your MS Teams credentials for Single-Sign-On.

Environment

Shows the Nimbus environment you are currently working in.

Language

Select the language of the Nimbus Admin Portal.

💡Notes

  • The Admin Portal switches to the selected language as soon as you change it. This will not affect any items or toggles configured in the Administration itself, just the UI language.
  • The language setting is saved per user, so it applies across browsers and devices.
  • The Admin Portal language is independently of the language of the User Preferences in Nimbus Portal and Apps such as Luware NimbusOne.

Date Format

Select how dates and times are displayed. Each option shows an example with the current date and time.

💡 The date format is saved per browser and doesn't roam across browsers or devices.

Nimbus Manifest

Allows you to retrieve the latest Nimbus App Manifest for your Tenant.

💡When to use:

💡When to update:

  •  A manifest update is only necessary when major updates within the Nimbus App or the related access / permission concept occur.
💡Luware will inform you in advance and mention this on the Release Notes.
Nimbus Manifest Instant Messaging

Allows a Nimbus bot to create Adaptive Cards necessary for direct-to-user Instant Messaging task distribution via Interact.

💡When to use: This manifest is only required when you need to notify users directly via pending Instant Messaging tasks outside of the Nimbus UI or any given Team in MS Teams, using Adaptive Cards. This is part of the Use Case - Setting Up Interact in a direct “Customer to User” messaging scenario that the service workflow distribution. Instead the Nimbus bot in this manifest will establish an MS Teams group chat with the user and customer.

Tools

PowerShell

Allows to download the latest Microsoft PowerShell script.

💡When to use: The script is required to Provision new services and confirm technical Service Settings changes made to existing services, e.g. when applying or removing PSTN licenses or updating relevant delegated permissions.

💡When to update: The script will automatically version-check and require you to update to the latest version if necessary.

Power Automate

Allows to download the latest Nimbus Power Automate Connector for manual installation as a Custom Connector.

Recommendation: In most cases, we recommend to use the Nimbus Power Automate Connector available via the Microsoft store, as it updates automatically.

💡 A manual Custom Connector download and installation on your Tenant is only required for testing preview or upcoming functionality, and requires a Migration whenever you decide to switch later.

💡When to update: At your discretion, e.g. major connector change announcements in the Latest Release Notes.  We recommend to migrate to the store-certified connector to avoid future disruption and automatically update to certified functionality.
